Katherine Matta Counselling

Hello and thank you for visiting my website!

I believe that everyone is capable of finding their strengths to manage whatever life throws our way. It is important for me to create an honest and non-judgmental space to address any issue you may be facing.

I support individuals, couples and families struggling with depression, anxiety, stress management, managing emotions and intrusive thoughts, divorce and separation, domestic violence, sexual abuse, adult conflict, parent-teen conflict, addictions, health diagnoses, and grief.

My professional background includes over 10 years of providing therapeutic support to children, youth, adults, couples and families. I have worked with children and youth in foster/ group care and has also engaged in program development for children aged 8 to 12 years old.

I utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches such as solution focused therapy, narrative therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, and dialectical behavioural therapy while integrating values of diversity and equity. I believe it is important to acknowledge how culture, race, faith, and identity impact how we perceive and navigate life.

I have a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Worker. I am also a member with the Ontario Association of Social Workers.

Together, we can set realistic goals to ensure that we develop a plan that is manageable for you. Contact me today if you are ready to pursue your road to resiliency!
